Why is my dog scared of my soda can?

Answer: I can certainly see how it might feel like an unknown object because the difference in your mouth’s osmolarity gives you that invincibility to bite into anything ;)Every day our mouths are invaded with only "safe" objects that we’ve chewed through many times, week after week. Amazingly there are millions of bacteria on these "safe" items. This is because dental plaque, which contains millions of bacteria, builds up on teeth over time because oral hygiene routines often neglect the back surfaces of teeth. The high level or acidity and sugar content inherent in soda will be introduced to undamaged enamel surfaces where brushing doesn’t happen due to its back surface location…A dog would likely find this strange flavor interesting
